  • I've never caught a fish, can I do this?

We are professionals that have guided many of our clients that have never been Big Game Fishing before. Our goal is to make you a better Angler, whether you are experienced or a novice.

  • Will I get Seasick?

If you’re prone to motion sickness, you can take Dramamine or Bonine. You can take one the night before when you go to bed and one again in the morning when you wake up. The Sea Baby III has stabilization chines to keep the boat from rocking and rolling as much as most boats.

  • Do we get to keep our catch?

Yes. The Crew will fillet your fish for you on catches that are 50 lbs and under. Usually most customers take enough fish to enjoy on their vacation. If you don’t want the fish or there is more than you will eat the crews will sell the fish for extra income. Hawaii is one of the only states where charter boats can sell their catch.

  • How much do we Tip the crew?

The Captain and Crew split their tips. 20% is average.

  • Do you catch on every trip?

No. We have all the best gear and experience, but sometimes the bite is slow and there aren’t many fish to be caught. The fish we target do not live in Hawaii. They are just passing through!

  • What kind of fishing techniques do we use?

    Trolling Lures and Live Baiting.
Trolling Lures is the most common fishing practice, as it allows us to cover a larger area in a day (boat speed is 8-10 mph).
When Live Baiting, we use small Tunas or Mackerels that are caught during the charter and can be fun for kids to reel in. Catching live bait is not guaranteed and we can not buy live bait as we leave the Harbor in Hawaii. Using live bait depends on the currents, where the bait is located and how much time we have to fish (boat speed is 2-3 mph during the live baiting process).

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We do require a 48 cancellation notice and you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel within the 48 hours you may be charged up to 100% of the charter price.
